Max India Ltd consolidated sales down 8.97% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit jumped 88.08%

Max India Ltd share price slipped 1.42% to Rs 169.85 after the company's net profit surged by 88.08% to Rs 36.28 crore, while revenue from operations eased by 8.97% to Rs 59.74 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Holding Company industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 4.44 lakh crore, rising 0.86%. It has softened by 1.88% over last one week and advanced by 14.51% in last one month while the market capitalization of Max India Ltd has inched up 0.21% and 10.06% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Max India Ltd stood at Rs 35.59 crore in Q2 FY26, surging by 44.32% year-on-year, and jumping 88.71% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 45 crore, rallying 26.03% YoY and expanding by 102.86% sequentially. Total expenses increased by 16.58% to Rs 103.65 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 13.14 crore, increasing 16.90% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 25.43 crore, soaring 31.76% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations surged 30.98% to Rs 190.56 crore, while net profit fell 13.21% to Rs 121.85 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA tanked by 13964% to Rs 142.45 crore, and PBT contracted 12.71% to Rs 120.97 crore compared to previous TTM. Max India Ltd tumbled by 17.65% in last one year, underperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has slipped by 2.56% during the same period.
