2G case: Siddharth Behura to appear before JPC today

Siddharth Behura, the former Telecom Secretary and an accused in the Second Generation (2G) scam case, will appear today, 10 July 2012 before the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC), which is examining the 2G license allocation scam issue. He will be the first accused in the 2G scam case to dispose before the panel.

Behura was arrested by the CBI on 2 February 2012 along with the former Telecom Minister A Raja and his personal secretary RK Chandolia for their alleged involvement in the 2G scandal. He was given bail by the Supreme Court in May 2012.
