Jagadish Shettar to sworn in as Karnataka CM

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the resignation of the Karnataka Chief Minister, DV Sadananda Gowda, who will be replaced by the State Rural Development Minister, Jagadish Shettar.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the resignation of the Karnataka Chief Minister, DV Sadananda Gowda, who will be replaced by the State Rural Development Minister, Jagadish Shettar.
The former Chief Minister, B.S. Yeddyurappa has been pitching for Gowda's replacement with Shettar. Gowda has commented that his decision to resign was to protect the party's best interest in the State with the election to the State Assembly due in May 2013.
BJP President said that keeping the party's interest in mind, as a good party worker, he has resigned and party has decided to hand over the leadership to Jagadish Shettar.
Criticising the frequent changes in the government, the Congress, reiterated its demand for dissolution of the State Assembly.
