The Election Commission (EC) of India has announced Biennial elections to the Maharashtra Legislative Council from Local Authorities' Constituencies.
The EC has decided to hold the Biennial elections as the term of office of the Maharashtra Legislative Council from 6 Local Authorities' Constituencies is going to expire due to their retirement on 31 May 2012 and 21 June 2012.
The Commission will issue the notification for the above said biennial election on Monday, 30 April 2012 and the polling will be held on Friday, 25 May 2012. The votes will be counted on Monday, 28 May 2012.
