The meeting will review internal security situation in the country
The Conference of Chief Ministers' on Internal Security will be held in New Delhi on Monday, April 16, 2012. The day long conference will be inaugurated by Prime Minster-Manmohan Singh. Union Home Minister-P. Chidambaram will deliver the opening address.
The Meeting will review internal security situation in the country. Police Reforms and capacity building will focus on ongoing and new initiatives will be high on the agenda. Other issues to be deliberated upon include strengthening of counter terrorism capabilities and intelligence apparatus, Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & System (CCTNS), issues related to Left Wing Extremism, border management, coastal security and other Centre-State issues.
