Telangana issue disrupts Lok Sabha proceedings for fifth day

Telangana issue rocked the Lok Sabha for the fifth day paralyzing its proceedings on Friday, 30 March 2012.

The Lok Sabha was adjourned minutes after proceedings began as the MPs raised the issue of Telangana statehood. Congress MPs from Telangana staged protests holding placards and shouting slogans demanding creation of a separate state.

The House was adjourned till 24 April 2012 for the customary break in the budget session.
