2G scam: JPC to quiz A Raja and Siddharth Behura

The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC), examining the 2G-spectrum scam, is all set to quiz jailed former Telecom Minister A Raja and former Secretary Siddharth Behura on the alleged illegalities in allotting the telecom licenses.

The JPC, which already decided to summon all the former Telecom Ministers and Secretaries to collect evidence on the telecom policies followed from 1998 to 2009, questioned the former Telecom Secretary DS Mathur, on Wednesday, 21 March 2012, who held the position before Behura.

A Raja and Siddharth Behura was arrested together by the CBI for their alleged involvement in the 2G scam and they are the only remaining accused in the 2G case who are not out on bail. All the other jailed accused in the case including DMK MP Kanimozhi were granted bail.
