Congress MP Vijay Bahuguna will be the new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. The oath taking ceremony will be held today, 13 March 2012 in Dehradun.

Putting an end to all the speculations, the decision came after a meeting between the Congress President Sonia Gandhi and key party leaders.

In the recently held Uttarakhand assembly elections 2012, the Congress narrowly defeated the Bhartiya Janata party (BJP) by winning 32 seats out of the total 70 seats, while the latter won 31 seats.
