Second phase of polls to begin in UP tomorrow

The second phase of polling for Uttar Pradesh's 59 assembly constituencies will be held tomorrow, 11 February 2012. About 1.95 crore electorates are expected to seal the fate of 1098 candidates in the fray for tomorrow's election.

The 59 assembly seats are spread across 9 districts in the eastern region of the state. The districts where polling will be held include-Azamgarh, Sant Kabir Nagar, Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar, Mau, Ghazipur and Ballia.

The election campaign for the second phase also ended yesterday, 9 February 2012. This phase of election would seal the fate of many senior leaders belonging to top political parties such as Congress, Bharthiya Janata Party (BJP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party (SP),
