The Supreme Court on Monday, 3 January 2011 has issued notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probing the 2G case to clear its stand on the bail pleas of A Raja's former aide RK Chandolia and former telecom secretary Siddharth Bahura, who are accused in the 2G case.

After agreeing to hear on the bail pleas of RK Chandolia and Siddharth Bahura, the apex court has issued notice to CBI on their bail pleas. However, the court has extended the interim stay on the Delhi High court's order, which had put hold the bail granted to Chandolia by the trail court. With this 12 of the 14 accused in the case, except for the former telecom minister A Raja and Siddharth Bahura, have been freed by various courts on bails.
