2G case trial to resume from today

The trail in the Second Generation (2G) spectrum allocation case, in which the former telecom minister A Raja, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam MP Kanimozhi and many other corporate honchos were accused, will again begin from today, 2 January 2011 after a week long winter break.

In today's trial the jailed telecom minister A Raja will resume the cross-examination of one of his former aide- Aseervatham Achary, a key witness in the 2G case. Apart from Raja and former telecom secretary Siddharth Bahura all others who were arrested by the CBI in the case have been granted bail.
