Schneider Electric to invest Rs 211 crore to expand Kolkata facility’s production capacity

Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited announced that its board of directors approved enhancing the capacity of Vacuum Interrupter and Breakers at its Kolkata Medium Voltage Components (KMVC) facility, increasing Vacuum Interrupter capacity from 250,000 to 375,000 units per annum and adding Breaker capacity of 18,000 units per annum. The company plans to invest Rs 211 crore to implement the expansion, which is expected to be completed by the end of fiscal year 2028-29, and will be financed through internal accruals and/or external borrowings.
