Power Grid Corporation acquired Lakadia II Power Transmission for Rs 18.43 crore in Gujarat

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has acquired Lakadia II Power Transmission Limited for an aggregate value of Rs 18.43 crore, including 50,000 equity shares at par at Rs 10 each, under a Tariff Based Competitive Bidding process, according to a regulatory filing on Wednesday. The acquisition, completed on October 12, 2026, involves the establishment of a new 765/400kV Lakadia-II Sub-station in Gujarat and construction of 765kV transmission lines, along with associated equipment, and will be operated on a build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis.
