In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index jumped 288.65 points or 1.30% to 22,520.45.
The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of the market's expectation of volatility over the near term, dropped 5.89%.
Vodafone Idea Ltd, Yes Bank Ltd and Suzlon Energy Ltd were the top-traded individual stock futures contracts in the F&O segment of the NSE.
The October 2026 F&O contracts will expire on 27 October 2026.
