LIC appoints Shyam Srinivasan and others as independent directors, pending member approval

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) announced the appointment of Shyam Srinivasan, Ganesh Kumar Sundara Iyer, Gaurav Kumar, and others as independent directors, effective October 7, 2026, subject to member approval. The appointments follow a similar pattern for all directors, disclosing no familial relationships with existing board members and confirming they are not currently debarred from holding director positions. The newly appointed directors bring extensive experience in banking, finance, technology, and central banking, including roles at Federal Bank, Reserve Bank of India, Yubi Group, and Vivriti Capital.
