Shyam Metalics and Energy to build a 9 MTPA steel complex in Maharashtra

Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited announced it entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra on October 1, 2026, to facilitate the establishment of a 9 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) Greenfield Integrated Steel Complex at Chandrapur, Vidarbha region, Maharashtra, involving an estimated investment of Rs 50,000 crore and creating approximately 30,000 jobs.
