Sudarshan Pharma Industries Limited announced that its board approved the acquisition of 24,23,675.64 equity shares, representing 9.50% of the issued and outstanding share capital, of MedTherapy Biotechnology Inc., a U.S.-based cancer cell and gene therapy company founded in 2018. Additionally, Chairman & Managing Director Hemal Mehta and Joint Managing Director Sachin Mehta will acquire 3,82,685.63 shares each, equivalent to 1.50% each, of MedTherapy Biotechnology Inc. The acquisition, to be completed by March 31, 2027, will be funded with a cash consideration in U.S. dollars and requires approval under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999.
