Canara Bank plans to seek board approval to issue foreign currency bonds

Canara Bank said it will seek board approval on September 3, 2026, to raise foreign currency funds through the issuance of Senior Unsecured Foreign Currency Bonds/Medium Term Note (MTN) Bonds under its existing MTN Programme, according to a regulatory filing. The bank also announced that the trading window for directors and designated persons will be closed from August 31, 2026, to September 5, 2026, in accordance with SEBI regulations.
