IndiGrid anticipates acquiring INR 2,000 crore of projects from EnerGrid over 2-4 years

IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust reported a satisfactory quarterly performance and expressed optimism regarding the government’s recent decision to exempt dividends from taxation for business trusts, though a 10% surcharge will apply. The company anticipates acquiring approximately INR 2,000 crore of projects from EnerGrid this financial year, with full integration expected over the next 2-4 years, and is actively pursuing inorganic opportunities in transmission, solar, and battery storage potentially valued at INR 6,000-8,000 crore. IndiGrid maintains debt headroom up to 70% of its portfolio and typically raises capital when debt reaches 65%, though no equity raise is currently planned. Management cautioned against providing specific net asset value projections due to market volatility.
