Elgi Equipments acquires 18.01% stake in Constronics Energy for Rs 1,61,70,000

Elgi Equipments Limited entered into a Share Subscription and Shareholder’s Agreement and Power Purchase Agreement with Constronics Energy Solution Private Limited, an entity incorporated on December 3, 2024, to acquire 18.01% of its share capital for Rs 1,61,70,000, according to a regulatory filing on August 20, 2026. The acquisition, which is expected to be completed on August 20, 2026, will enable Elgi Equipments to comply with minimum shareholding requirements under the Electricity Act, 2003, and secure renewable energy procurement for 25 years.
