Ashok Leyland Ltd consolidated sales down 24.03% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit witnessed a sharp fall of 51.66%

Ashok Leyland Ltd share price ticked higher by 0.57% to Rs 177.0. The Company's net profit tumbled by 51.66% to Rs 667.77 crore, while revenue from operations dropped sharply 24.03% to Rs 13020.01 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Commercial Vehicles industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 2.36 lakh crore, plunging by 22.01%. It has improved by 2.56% over last one week and spiked sharply by 21.96% in last one month while the market capitalization of Ashok Leyland Ltd has slipped by 0.06% and 15.54% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Ashok Leyland Ltd stood at Rs 949.72 crore in Q2 FY26, easing 6.54% year-on-year, and tanking 51.04% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 2221 crore, rising 7.08% YoY and nosediving by 29.19% sequentially. Total expenses saw a steep drop of 23% to Rs 10974.06 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 7603.75 crore, tumbling by 26.34% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 1236.59 crore, seeing a marginal contraction of 3.17% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations advanced 16% to Rs 56076.03 crore, while net profit registered a growth of 10% to Rs 3720.98 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA witnessed a strong improvement of 889920% to Rs 10160.18 crore, and PBT expanded by 12.15% to Rs 5154.79 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 4894.71 crore in FY26, as against Rs 128.47 crore in FY25. Ashok Leyland Ltd soared by 47.87% in last one year, significantly outperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has eased by 3.05% during the same period.
