Shalimar Paints Ltd consolidated sales down 11.68% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit soared by 187.69%

Shalimar Paints Ltd share price declined by 1.68% to Rs 83.51 after the company's net profit saw a strong growth of 187.69% to Rs 21.26 crore, while revenue from operations declined 11.68% to Rs 137.72 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Paints industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 3.51 lakh crore, surging by 16.40%. It has remained flat over last one week and moved up slightly by 4.33% in last one month while the market capitalization of Shalimar Paints Ltd has eased by 4.78% and 65.92% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Shalimar Paints Ltd stood at Rs 21.26 crore in Q2 FY26, expanding by 26.77% year-on-year, and jumping 171.52% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 13 crore, rallying 42.11% YoY and crashing by 1188.33% sequentially. Total expenses slightly declined by 2.53% to Rs 154.96 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 106.84 crore, soaring by 27.65% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 18.27 crore, surging 29.39% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations grew 12.13% to Rs 599.81 crore, while net profit inched up 9.91% to Rs 81.17 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA tumbled by 6235% to Rs 67.52 crore, and PBT saw a minor gain of 9.91% to Rs 81.17 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 58.63 crore in FY26, as against Rs 17.72 crore in FY25. Shalimar Paints Ltd jumped 13.62% in last one year, significantly outperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has eased by 2.83% during the same period.
