Ambalal Sarabhai Enterprises Ltd consolidated sales down 33.49% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit witnessed a sharp fall of 38.77%

Ambalal Sarabhai Enterprises Ltd share price retreated by 5.50% to Rs 45.68 after the company's net profit plunged by 38.77% to Rs 3.98 crore, while revenue from operations dropped sharply 33.49% to Rs 43.56 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Pharmaceuticals industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 25.12 lakh crore, gaining 4.38%. It has marginally improved by 1.16% over last one week and rose by 11.70% in last one month while the market capitalization of Ambalal Sarabhai Enterprises Ltd has inched up 5.99% and 47.31% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Ambalal Sarabhai Enterprises Ltd stood at Rs 4.68 crore in Q2 FY26, crashing by 40.98% year-on-year, and plunging by 25.12% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 3 crore, tanking 136.63% YoY and tumbling by 18.45% sequentially. Total expenses saw a steep drop of 33.65% to Rs 40.37 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 6.9 crore, soaring by 121.15% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 7.56 crore, tanking by 14.86% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations posted a slight growth of 3.10% to Rs 202.27 crore, while net profit jumped 261.05% to Rs 17.8 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA tumbled by 437% to Rs 3.41 crore, and PBT soared 283.23% to Rs 18.51 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 13.4 crore in FY26, as against Rs 17.62 crore in FY25. Ambalal Sarabhai Enterprises Ltd rallied 46.88% in last one year, significantly outperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has eased by 3.04% during the same period.
