Japan Stocks surge as Tech and Bank shares gain

Japanese stocks rose on Wednesday, with the Nikkei 225 up 0.83% to 67,524 and the Topix up 0.94% to 4,139. Technology stocks increased due to positive reports from US companies CoreWeave and Super Micro Computer, encouraging optimism in artificial intelligence spending. Kioxia Holdings and Fujikura both rose by 3.9%, while Taiyo Yuden increased by 7.5%. Bank stocks also climbed, with Mitsubishi UFJ up 2.7%, Sumitomo Mitsui gaining 3.4%, and Mizuho Financial rising 3.1%.
