Gujarat Energy Ltd consolidated sales up 64.80% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit saw a strong growth of 563.64%

Gujarat Energy Ltd share price gained 3.25% to Rs 274.4 after the company's net profit surged by 563.64% to Rs 1007.4 crore, while revenue from operations gained significantly 64.80% to Rs 9544.98 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of LPG/CNG/PNG/LNG Supplier industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 1.68 lakh crore, improving 14.86%. It has eased by 0.67% over last one week and moved up slightly by 5.42% in last one month while the market capitalization of Gujarat Energy Ltd has softened by 1.60% and 3.74% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Gujarat Energy Ltd stood at Rs 1337.11 crore in Q2 FY26, surging by 83.60% year-on-year, and expanding by 257.98% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 1188 crore, rallying 67.59% YoY and jumping 163.91% sequentially. Total expenses witnessed a sharp rise of 54.72% to Rs 8364.98 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 7273.63 crore, soaring by 34.70% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 74.64 crore, tumbling by 26.58% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations posted a slight growth of 5.08% to Rs 16486.95 crore, while net profit inched up 0.40% to Rs 1148.32 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA soared by 180561% to Rs 1671.47 crore, and PBT saw a minor gain of 0.80% to Rs 1549.41 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 3369.73 crore in FY26, as against Rs 1634.04 crore in FY25. Gujarat Energy Ltd plunged by 38.14% in last one year, underperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has slipped by 2.56% during the same period.
