Ester Industries Ltd consolidated sales up 25.69% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit surged by 136.59%

Ester Industries Ltd share price rallied 12.82% to Rs 99.09 after the company's net profit jumped 136.59% to Rs 18.62 crore, while revenue from operations gained significantly 25.69% to Rs 432.16 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Packaging industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 44294.72 crore, heading higher 10.82%. It has inched up 1.76% over last one week and surged by 17.80% in last one month while the market capitalization of Ester Industries Ltd has gained 13.36% and 9.38% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Ester Industries Ltd stood at Rs 23.53 crore in Q2 FY26, tumbling by 717.59% year-on-year, and expanding by 149.26% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 40 crore, jumping 235.13% YoY and declining 2.90% sequentially. Total expenses jumped by 25.59% to Rs 400.88 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 287.59 crore, witnessing a sharp rise of 34.33% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 23.21 crore, ticking higher by 2.16% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations surged 20.56% to Rs 1282.14 crore, while net profit witnessed a sharp fall of 111.32% to Rs 13.7 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA tumbled by 5092% to Rs 130.29 crore, and PBT tanked by 120.60% to Rs 27.81 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 112.19 crore in FY26, as against Rs 43.78 crore in FY25. Ester Industries Ltd declined by 4.35% in last one year, significantly underperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has softened by 2.56% during the same period.
