Hindustan Copper Ltd consolidated sales down 18.99% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit plunged by 20.59%

Hindustan Copper Ltd share price slipped 1.98% to Rs 536.0 after the company's net profit tumbled by 20.59% to Rs 352.61 crore, while revenue from operations reduced 18.99% to Rs 936.5 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Copper industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 58856.55 crore, retreating 11.75%. It has marginally improved by 7.52% over last one week and softened by 5.76% in last one month while the market capitalization of Hindustan Copper Ltd has inched up 8.32% and 4.93% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Hindustan Copper Ltd stood at Rs 471.77 crore in Q2 FY26, expanding by 163.03% year-on-year, and tumbling by 20.34% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 490 crore, surging by 143.11% YoY and plunging by 17.56% sequentially. Total expenses fell by 19.66% to Rs 478.63 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 26.4 crore, jumping 46.59% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 106.27 crore, witnessing a strong rise of 16.79% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations jumped by 20.62% to Rs 2070.96 crore, while net profit soared by 58.06% to Rs 467.42 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA surged by 49195% to Rs 660.35 crore, and PBT witnessed a strong rise of 53.96% to Rs 632.4 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 544.23 crore in FY26, as against Rs 341.21 crore in FY25. Hindustan Copper Ltd jumped 122.22% in last one year, significantly outperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has eased by 2.63% during the same period.
