CESC subsidiary acquires six ReNew entities for Rs 4859 crore, boosting capacity

CESC Limited announced that its subsidiary, Purvah Green Power Private Limited, has entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of ReNew Hans Urja Private Limited, ReNew Solar Photovoltaic Private Limited, ReNew Wind Energy (Karnataka 3) Private Limited, ReNew Wind Energy (MP Four) Private Limited, ReNew Wind Energy (Karnataka 4) Private Limited, and ReNew Agni Power Private Limited from ReNew Solar Power Private Limited for an enterprise value of Rs 4859 crore, excluding a contingent payment of Rs 230 crore. The acquisition, which is expected to complete before October 31, 2026, will increase Purvah Green Power’s contracted capacity to over 4.8 GWp and operational capacity to over 1.8 GWp, and will be funded by a combination of payment to sellers and infusion of unsecured promoter debt.
