Kanco Tea & Industries Ltd consolidated sales up 440.66% on year in Q2FY2026

Kanco Tea & Industries Ltd share price gained 4.20% to Rs 49.38 after the company's net profit tanked by 117.76% to Rs 2.5 crore, while revenue from operations increased sharply by 440.66% to Rs 14.76 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Tea & Coffee industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 1.38 lakh crore, declining 7.36%. It has eased by 0.34% over last one week and dipped slightly by 6.69% in last one month while the market capitalization of Kanco Tea & Industries Ltd has marginally improved by 1.12% and 28.33% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Kanco Tea & Industries Ltd stood at Rs 2.66 crore in Q2 FY26, surging by 16.67% year-on-year, and crashing by 118.31% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 3 crore, rising by 10.39% YoY and plunging by 122.35% sequentially. Total expenses tumbled by 34.56% to Rs 11.4 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 1.56 crore, remained flat YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 11.86 crore, jumping 16.50% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations advanced 18.35% to Rs 75.27 crore, while net profit witnessed a sharp fall of 34.53% to Rs 5.46 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA saw a sharp decline of 1197% to Rs 3.84 crore, and PBT saw a marginal contraction of 4.83% to Rs 7.49 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 1.57 crore in FY26, as against Rs 1.1 crore in FY25. Kanco Tea & Industries Ltd crashed 24.66% in last one year, underperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has slipped by 1.97% during the same period.
