Transworld Shipping Lines Ltd consolidated sales down 22.63% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit plunged by 199.97%

Transworld Shipping Lines Ltd share price declined by 0.78% to Rs 158.5 after the company's net profit witnessed a sharp fall of 199.97% to Rs 29.51 crore, while revenue from operations dropped sharply 22.63% to Rs 102.45 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Shipping industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 54156.41 crore, jumping 19.83%. It has improved by 2.66% over last one week and eased lower by 1.22% in last one month while the market capitalization of Transworld Shipping Lines Ltd has slipped by 6.32% and 5.17% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Transworld Shipping Lines Ltd stood at Rs 30.41 crore in Q2 FY26, nosediving by 469.50% year-on-year, and tumbling by 207.65% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 160 crore, tanking 1101.06% YoY and crashing by 15948.51% sequentially. Total expenses went up by 12.23% to Rs 174.15 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, employee benefits expense was at Rs 31.92 crore, ticking higher by 0.69% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations contracted by 15.59% to Rs 548.31 crore, while net profit tanked by 368.74% to Rs 75.06 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA surged by 15994% to Rs 34.72 crore, and PBT collapsed by 339.16% to Rs 71.46 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 91.66 crore in FY26, as against Rs 175.22 crore in FY25. Transworld Shipping Lines Ltd nosedived by 39.12% in last one year, underperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has slipped by 1.97% during the same period.
