Kalyani Steels Ltd consolidated sales down 4.09% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit softened by 4.79%

Kalyani Steels Ltd share price declined by 0.28% to Rs 881.2 after the company's net profit slipped by 4.79% to Rs 68.25 crore, while revenue from operations slipped slightly by 4.09% to Rs 464.58 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Iron & Steel Products industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 3.32 lakh crore, rising 4.50%. It has marginally improved by 3.76% over last one week and moved up slightly by 1.91% in last one month while the market capitalization of Kalyani Steels Ltd has inched up 0.58% and 2.11% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Kalyani Steels Ltd stood at Rs 91.84 crore in Q2 FY26, climbing 10.56% year-on-year, and slipping 5.83% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 76 crore, gaining 7.79% YoY and retreating 10.20% sequentially. Total expenses marginally dropped 3.08% to Rs 386.75 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 239.58 crore, marginally falling by 5.45% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 24.06 crore, soaring 21.95% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations eased 6.88% to Rs 1845.61 crore, while net profit grew slightly 0.63% to Rs 257.87 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA surged by 31037% to Rs 301.17 crore, and PBT saw a minor gain of 0.43% to Rs 347.8 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 140.76 crore in FY26, as against Rs 381.83 crore in FY25. Kalyani Steels Ltd slipped 2.17% in last one year, performing in line with the benchmark BSE Sensex which has softened by 1.97% during the same period.
