Carborundum Universal Ltd consolidated sales up 1.98% on year in Q2FY2026

Carborundum Universal Ltd share price declined by 1.19% to Rs 1069.15 after the company's net profit tumbled by 300.80% to Rs 80.34 crore, while revenue from operations slightly gained 1.98% to Rs 1410.57 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Abrasives & Bearings industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 86471.82 crore, declining 3.07%. It has improved by 1.69% over last one week and ticked higher by 6.18% in last one month while the market capitalization of Carborundum Universal Ltd has marginally improved by 0.45% and 3.77% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Carborundum Universal Ltd stood at Rs 119.21 crore in Q2 FY26, rallying 38.89% year-on-year, and plunging by 499.90% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 90 crore, falling 11.82% YoY and crashing by 25.56% sequentially. Total expenses inched up 2.91% to Rs 1357.04 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 494.32 crore, easing 8.06% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 268.04 crore, improving by 10.79% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations tick up 6.53% to Rs 5149.39 crore, while net profit plunged by 43.83% to Rs 167.8 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA soared by 70457% to Rs 507.28 crore, and PBT collapsed by 39.79% to Rs 281.69 crore compared to previous TTM. The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 367.35 crore in FY26, as against Rs 304.23 crore in FY25. Carborundum Universal Ltd surged by 20.71% in last one year, significantly outperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has eased by 1.97% during the same period.
