National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) has released an assurance statement for its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) Core metrics for the financial year 2025-26, verified by independent third-party assurance provider JointValues ESG Services Pvt. Ltd. The report, which details NHPC’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, reveals significant greenhouse gas emissions, a high water footprint of 408,300 KL, and substantial energy consumption of 12,33,803 GJ, though a large portion of that energy comes from renewable sources at 79.4%.
