JK Lakshmi Cement invests up to Rs 20.50 crore in STLC RE 1 Limited for solar power

JK Lakshmi Cement Limited announced that its board approved an investment of up to Rs 20.50 crore in equity shares of STLC RE 1 Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle, to purchase solar power under a group captive power route. The investment will enable JK Lakshmi Cement to establish a 29MW AC / 42 MWP DC Solar Power Plant with a 28 MWh Battery Energy Storage System at its Sirohi, Rajasthan, integrated cement plant, acquiring a minimum 26% equity stake in STLC, incorporated on March 18, 2025. Sago Trading Limited, a member of the promoter group of JK Lakshmi Cement, holds 100% of the equity share capital of STLC, and the transaction will be conducted at arm’s length.
