Ola Electric and Axis Energy partner for 20 GWh battery storage deployment by 2032

Ola Electric Mobility Limited announced it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Axis Energy for the potential deployment of up to 20 GWh of battery energy storage systems by 2032, marking the first large-scale partnership for Ola Mahashakti, the company’s forthcoming energy storage platform scheduled to launch on August 15. The agreement, which establishes utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) as a new growth avenue for Ola, follows Axis Energy securing grid approvals for over 3,750 MW of projects in Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan, and anticipates annual deployment of 5 GWh from 2028.
