JTEKT India faces Rs 622.39 crore MEIS duty credit scrip recovery notice

JTEKT India Limited received a show cause notice from the Office of the Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, CLA Delhi, Central Licensing Area, confirming a demand for recovery of Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) duty credit scrips amounting to Rs 622.39 crore due to excess benefit sanctioned based on incorrect foreign exchange rates, according to a regulatory filing on August 4, 2026.
