Power Grid Corporation acquired Krishnagiri REZ Transmission for about Rs 19.82 crore

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has acquired Krishnagiri REZ Transmission Limited for an aggregate value of about Rs 19.82 crore, including 10,000 equity shares at par at Rs 10 each, under a Tariff Based Competitive Bidding process, according to a regulatory filing on August 3, 2026; the acquisition involves the establishment of inter-state transmission system for “Transmission System for integration of Krishnagiri REZ Phase -I” on a build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis and comprises the construction of 765kV & 400kV transmission lines traversing through Andhra Pradesh, Telangana & Karnataka, along with associated bays.
