Bureau Veritas (India) Private Limited has issued a reasonable assurance opinion stating that Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (BPCL) Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) for the fiscal year 2025-26 is free from material misstatements. The assessment, conducted in accordance with ISAE 3000 (Revised), AA1000 AS version 3, and Bureau Veritas’s internal standards, covered the period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, and included site visits to locations such as the Mumbai Refinery and Kochi Refinery. The assurance engagement involved reviewing data collection systems, interviewing BPCL personnel, and assessing alignment with AA1000 principles related to stakeholder engagement, materiality, responsiveness, and impact. The report, intended solely for BPCL’s Board of Directors, examined nine BRSR Core Indicators encompassing areas like greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, and employee wellbeing.
