IndiGo ends wide-body operations, damp lease with Norse Atlantic Airways by 2026

InterGlobe Aviation Limited, operating as IndiGo, announced it will discontinue its wide-body operations and conclude a damp lease agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways effective October 31, 2026, due to challenging operating conditions including geopolitical tensions, airspace constraints, and elevated fuel costs. The airline will transition flights between Mumbai and Amsterdam to Airbus A321XLR aircraft by October 25, 2026, and temporarily suspend services to and from London Heathrow until its Airbus A350-900s are delivered, while reaffirming its long-term international growth strategy.
