NSE India VIX slipped 2.20% as shares advanced.

Nifty January futures trade at premium

The Nifty January 2024 futures closed at 21,722.95, a premium of 104.25 points compared with the Nifty's closing 21,618.70 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 73.85 points or 0.34% to 21,618.70.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, declined 2.20% to 12.97.

Reliance Industries, Infosys and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The January 2024 F&O contracts will expire on 25 January 2024.
